Calvary Singers and Calvary Ringers

Calvary’s music program, led by our Music Coordinator, Anna Marie Beebe, includes a choir and a bell choir.  The choirs perform at special services throughout the church year.  All are welcome to sing in the choir or play with the bell choir -- no previous experience is necessary!  If you have always had a desire to sing or play, we can provide that opportunity.  For more information on our music program, please contact Anna Marie Beebe at dnabeebe@comcast.net.

Women's Bible Study

A women’s bible study meets at the home of Maxine Schippers every Thursday form 9 a.m. to noon.  The group uses a study guide as a reference for discussing of the scriptures.  The discussion is led each week by a different member of the group.  The women end their meeting with a time of prayer for the church, the congregation and the community.

 

Sunday Adult Bible Study

The adult bible study class meets in the Friendship Room (the upper room of the south wing of the church) each Sunday at 9:15 a.m.  Scripture is read and an interactive discussion follows, led by Stan Loop.  Coffee, tea and doughnuts are served.  The goal of the class is to learn more about God in a lively and fun atmosphere.

Programs Supported by Calvary

Fish

Calvary has donated food, money and volunteers to Fish Emergency Service for many years.  Fish distributes food, clothing, bedding, and household goods to the poor in the Portland area west of 82nd Street.  A large percentage of the donated items come from local churches.  Fish also provides information to the needy about where additional help can be found.  For more information on Fish Emergency Service, click here to visit their site.

Calvary Presbyterian Cooperative Preschool

Presbyterian Urban Network

The Presbyterian Urban Network is a group of smaller Portland-area churches that pray with and encourage one another, solicit grant support to develop programs for the Network, recruit professional advice and counsel of national speaker/consultants, and create spirituality and leadership training opportunities for the PUN’s members.
